Trust Based Relational InterventionⓇ (TBRI)

Brief Overview

TBRI is a holistic approach to caring for children which is based in creating a secure attachment and is focused on the three principles of connecting with, empowering, and correcting your child.

The approach begins with enhancing the connection between you and your child, to build a strong relationship and become the basis for which the rest of the principles can grow. The next step is looking at empowering your child by helping them learn to identify and express their needs in healthy ways while helping them build their self esteem and self worth at the same time. Lastly, once the secure foundation has been established and/or enhanced, the focus moves to helping guide you through correcting your child when challenging behaviors occur.

Each week the sessions focus on moving through the program while discussing how the program directly relates to your family and your life experiences. It is a flexible program which aims to provide more tools for your parenting tool belt. If parenting often feels like a struggle, then TBRI may be the right program for you!
