Counseling Services for Texas Residents
Virtual | In-Person | Harker Heights
Supervised by Chris Wilder, PhD, LPC-S #10850
Hi, I’m Anna — and I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re carrying a lot. Maybe it’s stress, grief, frustration, or the deep ache of family wounds that don’t seem to heal. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate the hard stuff. Whether that’s anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, parenting challenges, career burnout, or the emotional aftermath of growing up with complicated parents—I’m here for it.
This work is personal for me, too. I’ve experienced attempted parental alienation in my own life, and I know how confusing, heartbreaking, and isolating it can be. That’s why I offer support not only for parents going through tough seasons, but also for adults who are still trying to heal from the hurt their parents left behind—whether that’s emotional neglect, manipulation, or years of walking on eggshells.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for individuals in Texas. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and full of empathy (with a little humor thrown in when it fits). Together, we can sort through what’s heavy, make sense of what’s been going on, and move toward something that feels more manageable—maybe even hopeful.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Tarleton State University. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 13 years in the surgery department and two years teaching in special education—so supporting people in high-stress roles is something I truly understand on a lived level.
At the end of the day, therapy with me isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being real, showing up as you are, and finding your way forward—one step at a time.
Therapy Approach
When it comes to therapy, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I work from a Person-Centered perspective, which basically means you’re in the driver’s seat. I’m here riding shotgun—offering guidance, support, and maybe a metaphor or two along the way.
That’s my foundation, but I also pull from a mix of approaches like DBT, CBT, Gestalt, and Existential Therapy, depending on what fits best for you. I’ve had specialized training in all of these areas and continue to grow under professional supervision, because doing right by my clients is something I take seriously.
When I’m working with parents, I bring in play therapy techniques and draw a lot from Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI)—an attachment-based approach that helps build connection and trust, especially in tough parenting moments.
Whether we’re working through childhood trauma, current parenting challenges, or both, I’ll tailor our sessions to meet you exactly where you are.
Most importantly, my approach is always trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. You don’t have to come in with it all figured out—we’ll sort through it together.
